Just a few quick miles

by - Thursday, July 23, 2009

I didn't have time for a long run yesterday between work and the BF's volleyball playoffs (they won their summer league....whoop!)but I did manage to squeeze in about 2.5 miles around 8:30 a.m.

It was my work from home day and I had to get up early to start working so I could get to volleyball on time. So I started cracking on work and needed a break mid-morning. So I threw on my running stuff and headed outside.

Boy was it hot. Sunny and humid. But that's what I get for going later in the morning. I knocked off the 2.5 without much of a problem. My legs were tired because I hadn't eaten anything since my ice cream the night before (yea, I satisfied that craving lol) so I stopped to walk twice but then hauled butt the rest of the time.

It was a nice stress reliever and cleared my mind so I could tackle the rest of my work to do list.

It was a good run and a good day. Not sure what the plans are for running tonight I think I'm going to be on packing duty again.

What a great way to break up the work day. Too bad it was so hot, though! Good luck with getting those runs in.
